Meditation.

You need a strong sense of determination and clarity to be happy, if you are waiting for the situation and people to change for you to be happy let me tell you that time is never coming! it can give you unrealistic optimistic hopes but can't make you happy, the irony in today's world is that most of us who are suffering know the root cause of suffering but we are too indecisive to act.

To end this suffering, Meditation can help you it will help you to unlearn and decondition your mind to learn new practices and reflect on your own thoughts and values and embrace them.

 But hey what is meditation and why we should do it?

The answer to this question is actually very complicated, as the world has given various meanings and ways to do it but here we will try to keep it simple and pick one definition which is - it is a state of full awareness and being mindful. In simple words, meditation is a state of full awareness, awareness is when we are fully present all of the time see your body is always present at the moment but it is your mind that wanders so meditation practices can help in the alignment of your mind, body, and soul. Before talking about how to practice it let's talk about why to practice it: -

  • inner fulfilment.
  • openness in relationships.
  • compassion, even for others.
  • no judgments.
  • peace, patience, calmness, and good mental health.
  • clear priorities which will lead to more productivity.
  • immune to opening storms.
  • self-confidence and peace.
  • great sleep.
  • you began to understand yourself better and generate acceptance.
I would like to share my way with you, the meditation we will practice here is a simple sitting meditation- simply sit at a comfortable spot with a relaxed posture and put your palms on your thighs close your eyes, watch your thoughts silently don't fight them don't try to control them (this will make the situation worse), slowly bring your attention on your breath or you can chant some mantras or listen to some white noise. Remember we don't have to fight with our thoughts and emotions we have to accept, reflect, and embrace. You can filter your thoughts through your value system and try to find the root cause of your problem use your intelligent brain and emotional brain together to seek stillness in the turmoil of life

For better results, you can maintain a Journal where you can express your emotions, like in Accountancy journal is a book of original entries same use your journal to record all of your unfiltered, original thoughts.

I know that many of you have tried meditation and making it a daily habit but haven't been fortunate, I say give it another chance, be gentle start with 5 minutes a day be persistent the right time to meditate is the time you choose for yourself. 

Wandering of mind isn't bad at all, in fact, it allows for creativity, planning, and imagination among other things However it is natural for the mind to wander, it is imperative to become aware of these mental tendencies and to use them purposefully, rather than letting them take over.
